Challenge: The entry of a large, first-tier Japanese automotive customer to the U.S. market presented an opportunity for Stork Kelch and our principal base.
The challenge was to identify components the customer was looking to localize in the U.S. and connect them with the proper manufacturers. Once connected, establishing a long-term relationship and continuing to improve and cost-reduce their designs were critical to the success of the partnership.
Solution: Stork Kelch brought one of our systems providers to the Japanese customer and established an extremely close working relationship and design partnership.
This included periodic trips overseas to discuss future design and manufacturing solutions. The partnership continues to grow after more than 15 years with benefits from both supplier and customer shared equally.
